Premiere: "Without a Body" by Ana Bofill. CoroDelantal MACA and CoroDelantal Madrid

The Grand CoroDelantal, composed of singers from CoroDelantal MACA and CoroDelantal Madrid, premieres the work Without Body, created specifically for the occasion by the renowned composer and architect Anna Bofill Levi, academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. The poem that inspired the work is written by Cinta Montagut, Catalan poet. Both artists have been working on this project for months alongside Sonia Megías, director of CoroDelantal, and have already held several rehearsals and in-person meetings with both branches of the choir in Alicante and Madrid respectively.Without Body is a work commissioned by MACA and will be rehearsed by CoroDelantal MACA together with Anna and Cinta starting Tuesday, March 25 in the various spaces of the museum, to hold the world premiere on Sunday the 30th at 12:30. The work blends the sound of the smooth stones from Cadaqués (where the creators of the piece reside) and Altea, with the voices of the choir singers and the resonances of the different spaces of the museum. It is a work in movement, in which the behavior of the group evokes the choirs of Ancient Greece.A beautiful and very original creation, a fusion between music and architecture that will not leave anyone indifferent.We look forward to seeing you!
