On April 21st, 60 museum libraries and art and culture centers will flood cities with books on the occasion of the celebration of International Book Day.
These centers are joining in a bookcrossing experience in which they will release books related to different disciplines.
For the ninth consecutive year, a total of 60 museums and art centers will share on April 21st, on the occasion of International Book Day, a bookcrossing experience or book release campaign, with the intention of flooding cities with volumes from the duplicate collection of their respective libraries. Participants have planned to put these books into circulation with the intention that those who pick them up will enjoy reading them and release them again at another different point in the world. All released books will be accredited with their corresponding labels, will contain the necessary instructions to facilitate the reader's participation in the campaign and will be registered on the website http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf, where readers will be able to indicate the place where they will release each copy. The objective of this initiative is to add to museum libraries in the effort to promote reading and, more specifically, in the dissemination of knowledge of the different cultural disciplines. The MACA library will make available to anyone who wishes a series of titles that you can find in different points of the city. All released books will be accredited with their corresponding labels, will contain the necessary instructions to facilitate the reader's participation in the campaign and will be registered on the website http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf, where readers will be able to indicate the place where they will release each copy.
