The Spider Woman The Emotional Sculpture of Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois's mother, like spiders, dedicated her life to weaving beautiful tapestries. This is the story of how the young Louise, an apprentice weaver, became an artist and sculpted an enormous ten-meter spider called "Maman." A beautiful tale that captures the special and unbreakable relationship between a mother and a daughter. One of the most beautiful and exquisite books of the year. The story of the young sculptor Louise Bourgeois told to sensitive children and restless adults.

During the first stage of childhood, knowledge of the world and of oneself is acquired through the experience provided by the senses.

For this reason, it is fundamental that we provide stimulation for each of the senses individually, but also together, since they are not isolated from one another.

These laboratories are a field of learning and discovery and an opportunity to showcase high-quality books both for what they tell and for how they tell it. From 5 to 12 years old.

Bookcrossing 2025

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

For the nineteenth consecutive year, a total of 42 museums and art centers will share on April 23rd next, on the occasion of International Book Day, a bookcrossing experience or book release campaign with the aim of flooding cities with volumes from the duplicate collection of their respective libraries. Those participating have planned to put these books into circulation with the intention that those who pick them up enjoy reading them and release them again at another different point in the world.

All released books will be accredited with their corresponding labels, will contain the necessary instructions to facilitate readers' participation in the campaign and will be registered on the website http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf, where you can indicate the place where each copy will be released. The objective of this initiative is to add the libraries of the museums to the effort to promote reading and, more specifically, to the dissemination of knowledge of the different cultural disciplines.
