Tony Feher

Until his death in 2016, Tony Feher focused his practice on sculpture and installation. The use of modest and found materials, such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes for packaging, marbles, and all kinds of common objects from diverse sources are a constant in his work. The intelligent and surprising way of reusing, manipulating and combining working materials, the exquisite use of color, the precision and rigor of a process that is both unreflective and intuitive, and the poetry conveyed by his assemblages, give his pieces a singular aesthetic beauty. With his work, Feher makes a vindication of the ephemeral and fragile, constructing visual poems that connect with languages as diverse as minimalism, abstraction and dada. Five works by Tony Feher, spanning three decades of work, are included in the collection, and are also very representative of his artistic trajectory.
