Since its opening, the MACA Education and Mediation team has worked to offer projects and activities that bring the museum closer to the entire community. We seek to make it a space that fosters the development and practice of citizenship, promoting art and education as tools to improve quality of life and to transform the environment. We believe in attending to all audiences, which is why we design activities that respond to the diversity of people and needs. Our social art and action projects aim to generate meaningful experiences and to make the museum an inclusive place for everyone.
The itineraries are conceived as spaces for encounter between the artworks, the participants and the educators, encouraging the exchange of perspectives and different interpretations through educational resources. For this reason, the museum offers programmes, guided tours and workshops adapted for people with disabilities, whether visual, auditory, intellectual or motor. These activities are aimed at individuals belonging to educational centres, day centres, vocational training centres, therapeutic education centres or residential facilities, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of their abilities or needs, can enjoy and participate fully in the activities.
