Educational project
November 19, 2017. Hung to the Sound is a large clothesline operated from the body by the participants of the Here Together Now program, which in collaboration with Extrarradio art and social inclusion and The October Press proposed drawing from lines, portraits and self-portraits to the sound of live piano by Carlos Izquierdo to build a large CLOTHESLINE on the museum's facade, in which the public became a work of art.

An invitation to all audiences to draw, whether your companion, your pet, a friend... whatever comes up!

All the creations will be hung throughout the morning on the facade of the MACA, forming a large clothesline in which the public will become a work of art.

Exhibition: "Juana Francés. From the Bottom of the Sea to the Sky"

Audiovisual tour of the exhibition
From July 12 to October 14, 2018. Curator: Rosa Mª Castells

Works from the Juana Francés Collection of the MACA

Organized by: MACA, Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante

Around 1980, Juana Francés abandons social criticism to venture once again into abstraction, evoking, with subtle references, comets and underwater landscapes. A kind of journey, from the depths of the sea to the sky, with the circle and rectangle as essential geometric figures. These are works on paper in which movement and color burst forth in lyrical harmony with a clear vocation for transcendence.
