In addition to the 26 works, this exhibition includes varied documentation related to childhood and family in the environment of Onil and Valencia, as well as his studies at the School of Fine Arts belonging to the MACA Archive whose Sempere documentary collection is composed of more than 2,000 documents resulting from the generosity of the Sempere family and Martín family, from some acquisitions and from the most recent donation of a private collection from Onil.

Since March 4th. An original series titled Oval of unique silkscreens that Sempere creates with an educational purpose in 1981 to show the process of a silkscreen, from the printing of the first screen to the last. Two other series of silkscreens made between 1975 and 1980 are also exhibited. New to the MACA is the exhibition of a portrait of Abel Martín made in charcoal by Eusebio Sempere in 1973 and a mobile sculpture of Abel Martín.

The exhibition is accompanied by documentation related to silkscreen printing, an original screen used to print some silkscreens by Sempere from the late 1960s, the important book titled Lucio, published by Galería Neblí in Madrid in 1960 that includes 10 plates reproducing works by Lucio Muñoz made in silkscreen with sands by Eusebio Sempere and Abel Martín, as well as press materials, exhibition brochures, postcards exchanged with other artists, and a series of photographs taken by Budd Studio of New York of both artists: Eusebio Sempere and Abel Martín.

The EASDA (School of Art and Higher Design of Alicante) in collaboration with the MACA presents, from March 1st to 8th, the exhibition: "I Don't Want to Be Cinderella".

The exhibition displays more than 50 pieces of "illustrated" footwear, created by second-year students of the Higher Education Vocational Cycle in Illustration in the subject of graphic expression techniques.

Each student proposal: shoe, sneaker, boot, flip-flop… is a personal vision that expresses the different situations experienced in the family sphere or in the closest environment in relation to gender issues.

The objectives of the teaching project, curated by Alicia Rodríguez Boado and Mª Lucrecia Bernal Valencia are:

To demonstrate through the art of social action the rejection of stereotypes from fairy tales, which influence and condition us from childhood.
To promote the search for creative solutions that lead us towards gender equality.

March 22, 2024. Practical workshops on graphic scores in which real examples from different artists and composers are presented, different connections between musical and visual creation are shown, and activities based on participation and creativity are carried out in a collective and inclusive manner.

Aimed at people interested in visual art and/or sound art and music. From 8 years of age accompanied by an adult.

Attendees should bring drawing materials: pencils or pens and notebooks.
