Automatic writing

DIM 2020. Explicarte proposes an Automatic Writing workshop in the manner of Picasso using the text from the illustrated book The Count of Orgaz. The technique consists of writing unconsciously, capturing ideas, phrases or words just as they emerge from the mind, without any kind of reflection, without having a planned topic, without logical coherence, even forgetting spelling and punctuation.

It was a method used by the surrealists of the early twentieth century led by André Breton that allowed the subconscious to emerge without any kind of prejudice.

Olga Diego. A Universe in the Studio, Reflections of the Outside

Video Art
DIM 2020. Multidisciplinary artist Olga Diego offers us a show specially designed for this occasion: the first episode of a series created from her studio. In the manner of puppet theater and Chinese shadow theater, the author's iconography will create a universe of characters that will come to life and tell us strange stories. A creative work of experimental and performative character that will combine theater, animation and augmented reality, among others.

The gigantic characters of Automatic Garden transform into small articulated puppets that invade her studio, inhabiting every corner and turning it into a city full of hidden or confined, yet dazzling lives.

Social and environmental commitment, absurd chronicle and denunciation will mark both the construction of the characters (only with recycled material), as well as the scripts and dialogues. And with a special tribute to the objects of everyday life, to the things of Esther Ferrer.
