We are celebrating! Today, March 22nd, we are turning 10 years old with exciting moments...
It is very difficult to summarize in a video everything we have experienced and learned during this time, but we wanted to give thanks.
THANK YOU to all the people who have made it possible for us to be here today, to all those who have collaborated in each project we have carried out at MACA with commitment
and especially, THANK YOU to you, our audience. Because you make every day worth continuing to work to offer you the best.
On the occasion of the exhibition "Exiled Thought" from the Contemporary Art Collection of the Generalitat Valenciana, the 2020 National Photography Prize winner Ana Teresa Ortega (Alicante, 1952), gave a lecture in the museum's auditorium.
This year, we cannot carry out the celebration of Book Day in the usual way. But from the MACA Library, and coinciding with the exhibition of the Alicante artist, Juana Francés, we wanted to pay our small tribute to her work through this brief tour of the catalogs that are part of the museum's collections, which we bring to life with the poem by Gloria Fuertes.
The 20th Century Art Collection is one of the greatest treasures of this city. We know it, and it's improper for us to say so because it's a place we know well, very well, but that's just how it is. It's the truth. An ideal place to learn, discover, inspire yourself and, above all, breathe art. Haven't you discovered it yet? I don't know what you're waiting for. Have you already visited it on some previous occasion? No problem, come and rediscover artists and works from a different perspective, with an approach that goes from the playful to the educational and, of course, placing special emphasis on inclusion. Because the museum is for everyone and for all people. That's why we will have sign language interpretation service and adapted activities.
