Paüra is born from this collective storm, in this situation where fear occupies a good part of our daily lives. It also emerges trying to imagine what will come and assuming that little by little the waters will calm down and we will recover parts of life that for months have become invisible. We have the desire that, in that return to the world we knew, fear has not taken hold of our being.
There are as many types of fears as there are people in the world. Our objective is not to present a range of each and every one of them, but to use them as a springboard to jump into the void and unfold the wings of humor in that flight.
Paüra immerses itself in the world of comedy to address the theme of fear from that point of view. We could also speak of tragicomedy, or comedy with melodramatic tints; in short, that mixture of genres that are born from the deepest part of each person, where crying and laughter go hand in hand, and intertwine surprising each other through their continuous correlation.

December 2021. Thank you all for accompanying us during the #TODOSMACA 2021 week.
TODOS MACA is an invitation for ALL PEOPLE to approach and discover contemporary art, thereby fostering interest in the arts, citizen participation, social justice, creative empowerment and, above all, interpersonal respect. Cultural democratization is one of our main causes. And as a consequence, it is our intention to build bridges between people, and to transform our differences, our diversity, rather than an obstacle or a communicative impediment, into an opportunity for mutual learning and collective creation. We all contribute if we all participate. There is no other possibility.
Catalina doesn't go to a party: she is a party in herself. Before going out she tries on her four torn stockings to see which looks best on her and tomorrow she discovers the purple cheekbone, the bite-mark stitches, sore calves, hoarseness. Catalina bursts and manages, through kisses well and poorly given, to make the others burst. Against the "I am Madame Bovary," which she doesn't even want to hear about, Catalina declares "I am the rumba," like Andrés Caicedo with his novel "¡Que viva la música!", who taught us to suck our hair just as "Lectura fácil," by our colleague Cristina Morales (Herralde Prize 2018 and National Narrative Prize 2019) taught us to drive the edge of the table into ourselves. Catalina sins through dance and literature, but atones for her culture with little shame.
