A Walk Through a Story. Nature, Art and Childhood

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
Laboratory of Letters and Images. April 2019

There are many common themes between the world of art and the world of childhood. The

connection with nature is one of them. Nature inspires us, connects us with

our surroundings and with ourselves. It surprises us with its beauty and its curiosities.

For all these reasons we want to dedicate one of our laboratories to this topic that has accompanied

art from its first manifestations to the present day.

*Some stories proposed for this session: A Day of Nothing, The Bear That Wasn't,

Moon, Moon, Snail. Repetition and Rhythm

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
Laboratory of Letters and Images. January 2019

We normally associate the idea of rhythm and repetition with music, but it exists in all arts. In painting, for example, rhythm helps us compose by creating a visual journey

with the organization of elements that appear in the work. In the children's world we also find rhythm, in lullabies, jump rope songs, the "pito pito gorgorito"...

In this session we will play with verses, images and songs through a selection of stories with lots of rhythm.

*Some stories proposed for this session: Uno, dos, tres, vampiro es, Collection From the Cradle to the Moon, "¡Pom! ¡¡Pom!! ¡¡¡Poom!!!", Coleta, the Poet, The Cake is So High Up, an Elephant Was Swaying, ...

Trial and Error. Trial and Error in Creative Processes

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
Laboratory of Letters and Images. November 2018

The H Error. Trial and Error in Creative Processes

Failing is part of the creative process. We wish that everything goes well on the first try and if it doesn't, it's easy for us to become discouraged and abandon the search. However, from an open and creative perspective, error can open new paths for us, new possibilities and unexpected opportunities. In this session we will rescue those beautiful disasters called errors and give them value. *Some stories proposed for this session: "In the Kingdom of Punctuation", "The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes".

The A is a triangle and the O is a circle. Geometry and synthesis.

We are going to look for geometric shapes in our surroundings. We will take a walk through the space, observing the objects, works of art, books and drawing in our notebook the geometric figures we find. With the collection of geometric figures we gather in our notebooks, we will create our own composition.

Synthesize recognizable forms to reach visual compositions. Balance, tension, symmetry and the weights of the forms on the plane. *Some stories proposed for this session: "The Point", "The Little Red Balloon", "For Four Little Corners of Nothing".

The music of colors. Playing with the senses of sight and hearing.

From head to toe. Body and anatomy

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
Laboratory of Letters and Images. May 2018

From head to toe. Body and anatomy.

The body has been and is a major protagonist in the history of art. In museums we frequently encounter works in which naked bodies appear. From the Avant-garde onwards, the body shifts from being represented to being the direct tool for action and expression. Eliminating taboos, speaking naturally about nudity, or using our body in action as a means of artistic expression are some of the objectives of this session.

*Some stories proposed for this session: Collection "The map of my body" ("Breasts", "Nostrils", "Scabs", "Teeth", "Belly button", "Soles of the feet").
