We visit and work around temporary exhibitions: Palazuelo. Caligrafías musicales, Serigrafías de Ibero-Suiza. Colección UPV, De la naturaleza humana. Colección Fundación Caja Mediterráneo, at the MACA, and José Luis Serzo. Blinki Rotred y el juego de los ajos, and Música, teatro y tradición at Cigarreras Cultura Contemporánea

Furthermore, this project documents the evolution and impact that the program has on participants and a subsequent evaluation of its effectiveness.

We started this edition with a wonderful visit to the temporary exhibition "Telefónica's Cubist Collection". In it we discovered that cubism was more than an avant-garde movement, it was the artistic movement that inaugurated modernity.

Through works by Juan Gris and other cubist artists, whose way of seeing reality offers us a range of imaginative possibilities, we discovered and learned another way of looking.

We related the museum's collections to the folklore that emerges from the Christmas season, through a workshop in which the traditions underlying collective memory are rescued. And we began a new year with the work of Carmen Calvo, with Mori el Merma by Joan Miró.

We closed this edition with Eusebio Sempere.

In this edition a change was incorporated in the development of the sessions. A calendar of visits was established for both the Museum and AFA Alicante, which took place from January 15 to June 13, 2016. We had the participation of different art professionals who helped us see art from another point of view.

We began the fifth edition of Reminiscences. Art and Culture against Alzheimer's at the AFA Alicante facilities. We introduced ourselves and through creative, visual, and emotional dynamics, we learned step by step how to make a travel journal where we will collect the experiences lived during all the sessions of the year.

In this edition, the Teatro Principal de Alicante opened the doors of this dreamlike space for us so that the talent and magic of Gertrud Gómez and Pepe Bornay could transport us to a place of encounter and remembrance. Also

We approached the work Self-portrait in Palace or The Dog (1970), Las meninas by Equipo Crónica with art, gastronomy and tradition, and with the help of David Martínez and Ernesto Frutos, expert chefs, we managed once again to evoke that reminiscence of the gastronomy of our land. We were left speechless, as we did not know that art could be smelled and eaten.

The work Girl with Cardigan (1958) by Julio López Hernández evoked walks through our park. We held a floral decoration workshop, in which Sandra Zajac and Norma Gil put all their heart into accompanying us on this morning full of dreams, magic, art and memories, whose result was wonderful individual still lifes full of emotions and lots of color, which together formed a true spring garden

We culminated this VII Edition in grand style, remembering Eusebio Sempere through the technique of screen printing.

In this edition we have changed the order of the visits, the first one will take place at the AFA Alicante facilities and we will work around the MACA session. In this way, we will try to ensure that the visits to the museum can bring reminiscences of what was previously worked on.

Well yes, in these complicated times, we have heard or read this expression a lot: 'basic necessity'. For us, that is what the Reminiscences project is. Art and Culture against Alzheimer's. And, in this year 2021, it is more necessary than ever. You are more necessary than ever!

Our hope, one more year, is tremendous. Even greater if possible, because this kind of 'relationships' improves with the years. We are very excited to resume activities, with all the pertinent health measures, and without losing even a hint of desire and drive. We will do everything possible and unimaginable to reinvent ourselves and offer our artists sessions that excite and move them.

That is why we have decided to continue bringing the MACA collections to people with Alzheimer's from AFA Alicante in video format and thus, evoke personal experiences and distant memories through art and its artists.

This tenth edition is divided into six sessions created from six works from the 20th Century Art Collection. In the proposed activities, participants will dialogue, converse, and share experiences around art. In addition to carrying out different creative processes in order to provoke REMINISCENCES.

The different sessions are structured in two activities: a visit to the MACA to learn about singular artists from the 20th Century Art Collection, as well as to elicit reactions, reflections, conversations, or activities around art and artists, but also the sensations and emotions that the works may provoke. The second activity will be carried out within the same month at the AFA center in Alicante, where what was worked on during the museum visit is recalled and activated, provoking reminiscence.

These practices will be accompanied by a box with materials and a notebook with images, texts, and activities, which will try to recall situations experienced in the past and awaken different emotions in the present: all through the works of the different artists represented in the museum. These proposals will serve as a guide for AFA, Alicante professionals to develop the creative activities.
