Mediation

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The museum's Mediation programming, aimed primarily at adult audiences, offers different proposals in various formats whose purpose is to facilitate deep and meaningful access to the contents of permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. From curiosity, reflection and exchange, we generate an active learning environment in which observation, dialogue and experimentation occupy a central place.

Mediation is conceived as a bridge between artworks and people, a space where shared interpretations are constructed and critical participation is fostered. Therefore, we offer participatory activities and experiences that adapt to different ages, interests and concerns, understanding that each perspective brings unique value. With this approach, MACA becomes an inclusive and vibrant space where visitors not only enjoy artistic creation, but also reflect on its relevance and impact on contemporary society.

Workshop exhibition. DUAL-ES. Tàpies facing Tàpies

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The dynamic tour of the DUAL-ES exhibition. Tàpies facing Tàpies proposes a journey based on the work of Catalan artist Antoni Tàpies. With this exhibition we have the opportunity to establish different visions between the Tàpies of yesterday and today, always with common denominators: intensity, strength, the stroke, the forceful, spirituality and its integration with matter, the impregnation of the human in objects, the arrangement of color, the signs…

Workshop exhibition. Sensitive planes. Pictorial abstraction. Contemporary Art Collection Foundation "la Caixa"

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The dynamic tour of the Pictorial Abstraction exhibition proposes a journey based on the work of the different artists that make it up, and who all share the same concept: abstraction.

Throughout the tour we will stop at the different works, we will choose to start with a set of paintings that will serve as the foundation for abstraction: what it is, what its strategies are and what its language consists of. In this first approach to abstract painting, we will work based on the works of Peter Halley, Robert Ryman, Ettore Spalleti and Joan Hernández Pijuan, Alan Charlton, Sean Scully, Ferran García Sevilla, Juan Uslé, Palazuelo, Soledad Sevilla … . Each one brings us closer to abstraction through different concepts: forms, colors, order, disorder, rhythm, tension, instability, symmetry, movement ...

Workshop exhibition. Out of series, Ibero-Swiss Silkscreens

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The guided tour of the exhibition "Fora de sèrie Serigraphs from the Ibero-Suiza collection at the UPV" offers a journey through graphic work from the mid-1960s to the 1990s by the main Spanish artists of the time. An opportunity to learn the ins and outs of this technique, from its origins, the antecedents of this technique, its history, its application in art until its arrival in Spain at the hands of Eusebio Sempere and Abel Martín.

Fora de sèrie offers creations by authors such as Equipo Crónica, Equipo Realidad, Renau, Yturralde, Carmen Calvo, Teixidor, Gordillo, Guerrero, Tàpies, Mompó, Campano, Torner, Rueda and a long list of first-rate artists, as well as directly observing the printed material preserved for decades by the family of José Llopis. Dedicated prints, posters, workshop proofs, color or registration proofs, incomplete prints with annotations, positives for exposing screens and other treasures of interest to specialists and researchers in the field of contemporary graphic work.

Accompanying this tour is a screen printing workshop.

Workshop exhibition. Light and movement. The kinetic avant-garde in Paris, 1950-1975

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

It is an exhibition in which a series of works are presented that speak of movement, light and space through basic plastic elements such as geometry. These are open works that require the intervention and interpretation of the viewer to complete them, so the exchange of information between the mediators and participants is fundamental. In this way, dialogue is enhanced around a series of ideas and we can verify that, behind every plastic expression, there are particular, emotional or reflective interests.

The visits seek to create a dialogue based on the observation of the works and reflection. Throughout this dialogue, the educator raises the different themes that revolve around the works with the aim of discerning all those aspects, both conceptual and formal, that help us understand them. Thus, through the analysis of each part, we will be able to understand the whole.

We also aim to create a visual and also corporeal experience in a playful way. The viewer acts as a factor of change for the works. The idea is for the visitor to co-act with the work and the artist in the same space. We try to help illustrate or consolidate the ideas that are emerging or connect the work with our experience using reinforcement materials (images, objects, etc).

Workshop exhibition. Grayscale

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Grayscale brings together a series of works from the Fundación Caja Mediterráneo Collection that share a common purpose: to reflect through matter and its physical presence on the absence of color. All the works respond to a color range that runs from white to black and is recreated in that range of intermediate grays. A wide selection of artists who, from different perspectives and through various techniques, have given material a leading, substantial role in the aesthetic debate of their works. Some works never before exhibited. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, and a video make up this exhibition of subtle chromatic balances, of essential glazes, of cracks of clarity through which time escapes.

This is a visit designed based on all the reflections and experiences proposed to establish interaction between the works and our own experience, always open to the contributions of visitors that emerge throughout the visit.

The main objective of this visit is for it to be a participatory tour since the relationship between the viewer and the work is fundamental.

On this occasion we also create a collective work with the visiting students. We propose an activity in which visitors express themselves voluntarily in an artistic creation through the frottage technique. It consists of rubbing graphite over a sheet of craft paper placed on different textures, achieving an impression of the different textures. With the result of each one, create a collective composition on the wall.

To carry out this activity, a table has been designed with different textures such as burlap fabric, mesh, corrugated cardboard, sandpaper, etc., so that they can create different compositions.

Workshop exhibition. Inhabiting art, photographs by Montserrat Soto in the Telefónica Collection

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

13 photographs belonging to the Secret Landscape series. A project by Montserrat Soto that captures the interiors of a collection of contemporary art collectors' homes in the Americas and Europe. Secret Landscape consists of spaces where art becomes exclusive and only accessible to the owners and their guests in private moments.

The guided visit delves into the theoretical and stylistic keys of the artist and the technique employed. While also allowing for constant dialogue during the visit, where we can raise some questions such as: What is the objective of owning a collection? What happens to a private, inhabited and familiar space when it is filled with works of art, and these relate to everyday objects?

Furthermore, we stop at some works to identify in the photographs which artists the pieces belong to. Pieces whose interpretation is modified and at the same time determined by those that accompany them in the domestic sphere, absolutely different from the gallery and museum contexts. We can deduce who some of the preferred living national or international artists are for private collecting.

Workshop exhibition. Every landscape is fiction II

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Exhibition that invites us to reflect on landscape and its most contemporary representation, understanding landscape as educated and dominated nature. It is constructed at the very moment it is observed, being the maximum manifestation of man in the world.

The exhibition presents an urban landscape created by Miquel Navarro, an installation that belongs to the Fundación Caja de Ahorro del Mediterráneo, which possesses a large number of works ranging from the Spanish transition to the present day.

During the visit we aim to deepen our understanding of the theoretical and stylistic keys of the artist, as well as the techniques employed. At the same time, this work allows us to create a constant dialogue around the urban landscape, the dimensions of cities and buildings, and their presence in the environment.

Workshop exhibition. Every landscape is fiction I

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Every Landscape is Fiction brings together a series of works that share a common reflection on landscape and its contemporary representation. A wide selection of artists who, from different perspectives and diverse techniques, have given landscape a leading role in their works. These exhibitions, insofar as we interpret landscape subjectively, while generating social awareness, concern about human intervention, we discover the past, we speak of lived time, of the people who inhabited, of the memory of the place… all of this while we long for the lost paradise.

The visit approaches landscape from different points of view.

Workshop exhibition. The music of numbers that do not exist

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The exhibition consists of 9 folders of original silkscreen prints by Eusebio Sempere, all printed by Abel Martín, working as if they were a team, tracing the vital trajectory of both artists and demonstrating their joint artistic collaboration. Sempere would be the mind behind the forms and colors that Abel Martín, an excellent printer, then transferred onto paper through the superposition of silk screens, one for each color used.

It was the beginning of one of the most important sets of graphic works created in 20th century Spain, that of artist Eusebio Sempere, exceptional both in quality and quantity, approximately two hundred works including silkscreen prints, lithographs and engravings.

The dynamic visit deepens knowledge of the artist's theoretical and stylistic keys and the technique employed, while also allowing constant dialogue during visits where the importance of play becomes the motive and essence of learning. For this reason, we will pause at a series of folders to analyze the evolution and graphic work of Eusebio Sempere and Abel Martín.

Collective work created by visiting educational centers: The Alhambra in Four Seasons.

On this occasion, the educational workshops will work in a dialogue between color and form to create a collective work occupying the entire educational space. Creating as a result a composition of the four seasons through different techniques.

Workshop for elementary and primary school: Interwoven. Starting from a geometric base, students will discover different possibilities for creating patterns in their composition.

Furthermore, each week a different season of the year will be worked on, using the colors that belong to that season, thus working with different tones.

Workshop for Secondary and High School: "N" Times: silkscreen printing workshop.

We will begin by learning the technical process required for creating a silkscreen printing workshop, from the design on paper to the final result, simplifying the process into a series of steps that we will carry out practically on our silkscreen cart.

The practical part of the workshop is divided into the creation of three silkscreen prints with different designs (based on lines) and different colors, on three different plates of the cart, superimposing one over another and obtaining different compositions. In the same way as in the "Interwoven" workshop, each week the colors of a different season of the year will be worked on.
