In this second edition of Menuts Veíns, it was the Public School La Aneja in Alicante that developed the project in its kindergarten and primary school classrooms. The selected works were: LA BELLE SOCIÉTÉ by René Magritte, belonging to the Telefónica Collection and KROA B by Víctor Vasarely, from the 20th Century Arts Collection of the MACA. Throughout the months they worked, researched and created works around these artists. Menu Neighbors at MACA 1, 2016

CP San Roque

In the first edition, we invited the neighborhood school, C.P. San Roque, to be our Resident School for its social work in the neighborhood where it is located, our own.

During the months of January to May, Primary school students visited the museum repeatedly, choosing works that impacted them and analyzing them from every possible angle. The objective was for them to be able to tell the museum's story through the chosen works to another invited educational group. The students from San Roque School chose four works from the 20th Century Art Collection and wrote a theatrical script that incorporated music and dance in order to narrate the history of this museum. The students showed great involvement in this project and used theater as a means of expression and communication to show the Primary and Secondary school students of Peñafort school their particular way of seeing and understanding art.

I, Juana, 2025

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The inter-school seminar YO, JUANA emerges as a response to the need to create collaborative training spaces between teachers from different educational centers and the MACA, with the aim of jointly addressing specific challenges in the school environment related to contemporary art. This training modality allows for sharing experiences, analyzing practices, and designing pedagogical resources that respond to the diverse realities of students.

In this case, this project has been developed around the work of Juana Francés. With highly satisfactory results, both for the MACA and for the centers, such as the implementation of active and collaborative methodologies in the classroom, the generation of professional networks among teachers from different centers, and the development of a series of didactic materials adapted to the needs of students.

For the MACA, these didactic materials have taken the form of a box whose contents are composed of different objects, games, and educational proposals that will help the MACA make this artist known to the educational centers that request it. Each proposal, object, and game has been tested by the students of the participating teachers.

The participating teachers come from the educational centers: IES Playa San Juan, IES María Blasco de San Vicente, IES San Blas, IES Enric Valor de El Campello, and IES 8 de marzo.

Hosts a work

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

The objective of this program is to give visibility to the work of museum professionals and to add value to contemporary artistic heritage, presenting the works from the collections outside their usual environment and stimulating dialogue in new contexts.

After a visit to the museum, students will adopt a work and recreate museum functions in their center: acquisition, loan, conservation, research and exhibition, acting as mediators between their peers.

Creative Boxes

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

These are boxes that contain teaching resources and allow interaction with different artistic languages, techniques and concepts in a tangible way with the aim of promoting dialogue, collaboration and teamwork in the classroom and the development of cross-curricular projects. The Sempere Suitcase is a box with which we transform our artist Eusebio Sempere into a traveling artist, offering the opportunity to discover his vital, creative and artistic trajectory through the cities that

he visits, the artists he meets and the artistic trends he gets to know.

(R) for Portrait

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Inclusive Art Education Project. This project uses portraiture as a tool to explore identity, emotions, and personal

and collective expression. Created specifically for the Special Education Units of primary and secondary schools, including hospital centers, combining analysis of artworks with creative activities.

The program creates safe spaces where participants can look at themselves, recognize themselves, and develop autonomy, imagination, and

critical thinking.

(R) for Portrait aims to bring art and the museum closer to diverse educational realities, adapting content and methodologies to the needs of each student.

The starting point is portraiture, a genre laden with stories and meanings, which becomes a tool to explore identity, emotion, and the way of looking at oneself and others.

In a time when we live surrounded by images, teaching how to look and to look at oneself with attention, respect, and critical sense becomes an urgent task.

Neighboring Menus

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Menuts Veïns is one of our most established programs at the MACA and our objective is to continue strengthening this initiative. It is a collaborative project between neighboring educational centers and the MACA, as well as Alicante artists who advise, accompany, and enrich each stage of the project. This project seeks to awaken students' interest in contemporary art by using the museum as a complementary educational resource to develop their creativity and cultural understanding, thus creating an effective bridge between the educational environment and the museum.

Route. Limitless

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

A tour of the permanent collections designed for specific Special Education Units in primary and secondary schools and for people with disabilities or in situations of vulnerability. We want each person to be able to discover the museum in their own way, with the support and resources they need, and above all, with the freedom to enjoy art without barriers.

It combines tours, creative workshops and sensory experiences, using accessible materials and the mediation of specialized professionals. We transform the museum visit into a shared experience where every perspective matters and creativity knows no barriers.

Route. Enter through the window

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on

Looking at a window in the art of Juana Francés is to ask oneself: What is behind it? What am I seeing? What do I not yet see? On the occasion of the temporary exhibition on Juana Francés, we approach her figurative period, prior to abstraction, through the symbolic analysis of one of the most powerful and constant visual motifs in her work: the window that acts as an emotional and conceptual thread throughout the journey

From a symbolic reading, the window becomes an ideal vehicle for connecting internal and external worlds, the intimate and the

collective, the artistic and the spiritual.

This journey allows us to reflect on the construction of identity, the relationship between physical space and emotional space, as well as the symbolic reading of the image of art.
