From 2016 to 2020, the MACA hosted monthly storytelling sessions aimed at a children's audience. In these sessions, always using our collections as a starting point, these cycles were carried out with the help of Alberto Celdrán and Va de cuentos, which made children discover the characters that inhabit the museum: women, characters, wolves, monsters, horses, fantastic beings,...; fostering their creativity and imagination.
LIDEMYVA …or The Important Difference Between Looking At and Seeing Art, consists of a workshop or game in which participants will play in the different rooms of the Museum. In these sessions, a different way of visiting the museum and observing the exhibited works is proposed.
The main actions that will be carried out are very simple: give titles to the exhibited works and try to relate the works with the titles of the other participants. The titles created by the players will be called "Inspirations".
Led by Jorge Luis Socorro, architect and creator of Lidemyva. The game will take place throughout the three floors of the museum's permanent exhibitions.
The work "Anou et Ouna" by the group La Luciole Écarlate is a story without text in which the characters are puppets manipulated in plain sight; timeless and universal, which project their shadow and lead the spectator to a world of reverie where everyone can create their own story.
Between dream and reality, a reflection of our desires and our fears. The aestheticism and poetry of this French creation is an invitation to an inner journey.
Saturday, May 19th began with a trip through the MACA, where through a theatrical visit the youngest visitors were able to understand the true meaning of a museum and its role in society.
Kiki, Velázquez, a human statue in the purest informal style or a replica of Le Parc's work served as guides to the visitors during the journey.
The last stop was Plaza de Santa María, where visitors created a collective mural in which each one expressed their own idea of a museum.
From the MACA we want to thank Explicarte and VDH Comunicación for their collaboration in making this activity possible, but above all to the travelers who wanted to accompany us during this adventure.

The MACA will host the performance "Leap of Love" by the French company Golondrino. A story about an animated character facing a rather grumpy clock, a brief reflection on time and what it symbolizes. A wordless story with an explosion of creativity, humor, and poetry to tell a piece of the most surprising life. Special award for best street performance, Genk 2008.
Admission to all performances is limited by the capacity of the venues and the characteristics of the performance.
Not all new ways of understanding theater and culture have to be necessarily sustained by multimedia trends or projections; there are still things left for us to discover outside this realm. Capsules takes us into the world of theater and imagination, offering our senses the pleasure of living firsthand what the actors and manipulators feel on stage. Small stories where the spectator becomes the actor of the production. A show by the public for the public. A gift for the emotions.
Román Belmonte, author of the blog Where the Monsters Live: Children's Literature, points out in one of his articles a curiosity that we couldn't let pass in this programming dedicated to storybook characters: redheads!. From mythical characters such as
Pippi Longstocking to adventurous journalists like Tintin, nowadays authors of books continue to enjoy coloring their characters' hair in reddish-orange. And it is that red hair is special, different and we like that.
This month we will create with a single color to approach concepts such as contrast, tone or saturation. Orange is the protagonist
