Educational and mediation project 2022-23

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
The school visit program continues and this year we look forward to your visit with great enthusiasm. We want MACA to be a meeting place between the arts and education, a support for schools. We hope to contribute to promoting an alternative education based on creative, participatory, and emotional values. We want schools to be able to view the world through the proposals and languages of contemporary art. For all educational areas and levels.
This year MACA's educational program is carried out through the Tangent call of the Consortium of Museums of the Valencian Regional Government, always committed to mediation and education through art.

For each exhibition, whether permanent or temporary, the Education Department prepares educational projects and specific itineraries. They are multiple and in continuous renewal. The Itineraries allow the teacher to use the museum as a complementary teaching resource, regardless of the subject taught in the classroom, so that students can observe and analyze the works from other perspectives, broadening their points
of view. The education department of MACA is open to any proposal that comes from the educational community, and adapts to the needs and interests of the educational center.

Educational Project: Telefónica Cubist Collection

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
Telefónica's Cubist Collection, which emerged around the contextualization of Juan Gris's work, proposes a vision of Cubism alternative to that of traditional historiography. Although the importance of this movement is vital for contemporary art, it is usually identified exclusively with Braque and Picasso, as well as limited to the artistic environment of Paris and World War I. However, there were other cubisms that gathered the different proposals of French, Latin American, and Spanish artists. Juan Gris is one of the best representatives of these other cubisms. His work is not only important for the continuity it represents in the cubist movement after 1918, but it is also fundamental for connecting the development of modernity in Europe with Latin America.

Educational project: Tàpies versus Tàpies

Submitted by brandcode_deweloper on
The guided tour of the DUAL-ES exhibition. Tàpies facing Tàpies proposes a journey based on the work of Catalan artist Antoni Tàpies. Antoni Tàpies (Barcelona, 1923-2012) is undoubtedly one of the most important artists in the artistic history of the 20th century and one of the most genuine representatives of the informalist tendency. Always in a direct manner, his paintings penetrate the viewer to leave questions of meaning in the background, resolving through force, gesture and matter. With this exhibition we have the opportunity to establish different visions between the Tàpies of yesterday and today, always with common denominators: intensity, force, the stroke, the forceful quality, spirituality and its integration with matter, the impregnation of the human in objects, the disposition of color, the signs…
